In my experience whilst passwords exist they will ultimately always be a vulnerability. You can reduce this vulnerability by implementing all the usual (and obvious) technical controls such as MFA, Password policies and restrictions, preventing reuse and setting complexity requirements etc. The key is to Foster a culture of personal responsibility for cybersecurity. Encourage employees to take ownership of their account security and discourage sharing passwords under any circumstances. In addition to this, implementing password tools to scan your environment to identify weak or duplicated passwords is always beneficial if your organisation has the technical ability to implement them.

Using a password manager greatly helps when it comes to passwords. It can generate appropriate passwords for you, of which they can be extremely long. Since you copy and paste the password from the password manager the length in terms of usability has very little impact (thus making it easier to have much longer passwords). Additionally it also helps in aiding a unique password per site or service.

Educating users, not only about HOW to be secure, but WHY they need to be secure. I try to make it personal for them to help them gain an understanding of how being more secure can help their every habits, as well as their family and friends. When they practice more secure habits at home, it replicates when they are at work.
