1 Assign roles and responsibilities

My basic rule to Public Speaking, especially preparing as a group is… 1. Have very substantial information about the topic or theme. Ensure you equip yourselves with very good information. And as a team, assign different aspects to different team members. 2. After understanding the topic, create outlines that will guide your thought-process, words and sentences as you speak.

In public speaking preparation as a team it demands proper understanding of the topic by members of the team. That is to say, first any member who has a clearer understanding of the topic brings others to speed. Then brainstorming session is very important in team preparation. This is the time when the ideas are further divided into principles and pragmatics. For instance, some principled issues linked to the topic can be taken by a particular member of the group while another person takes up compelling instances and evidence that can strengthen the public speaking. Furthermore, a craft of new individual outline which is going to have connecting points amongst the speakers. This way, every member of the team knows what to present.

Parler à plusieurs durant une prise de parole en public est un véritable enjeux auquel il faut se préparer. En effet, l'effet "récitation d'exposé d'école" peut ressurgir et briser votre capacité à présenter efficacement vos idées. Je vous conseille de répéter en attribuant des parties spécifiques à chacun des speakers pour assurer un enchainement fluide des idées.

One thing I have found to be true over the years is that a role for everybody is a role for nobody. Hence, it is important when practicing with teams to ensure that roles are well spelt out. Particularly, it helps to avoid assumptions by the team members. Communicate the role in clear, simple and unambiguous manner.

Having a shared team vision is one thing I have found very helpful. It gives a the team a shared team Motivation. Motivation is very important for success of any team, herein, this will he the team practice public speaking better.

The word, Practice makes perfect is simple but yet profound. The only sure-way to mastery is practice. Hence, a team that will give an excellent presentation must regularly practice. From my experience one of the key distinguishing factor between a Good speech and an average speech is directly connected to there levels of preparation/practice.
