It's vital to include operators and maintenance team workers fully experienced so they can add the specific activity and the respective risks associated to each of them, being guided by the HSE specialists team who can filter and segregate the right risks from hazards for each activity. This formula is basic to obtain the proper risk assessment required.

"The ISO 45001" has the ultimate goal of helping businesses provide a healthy and safe working environment for their employees and everyone else who visits the workplace. This goal can be achieved by controlling factors that could potentially lead to injury, illness and — in extreme situations — even death. As a result, ISO 45001 is concerned with mitigating any factors that are harmful or that pose a danger to workers’ physical and/or mental well-being.

Actually , I agree with all workers need to be trained to understand potential vehicular accidents being struck by equipment , explosions ,fires and electrical hazards, risks related to confined spaces and chemical exposure .

Primero hay que pedir asesoría para escoger el mejor EPP y el más adecuado para el tipo de labor que se vaya a realizar ya que debe ser cómodo al usar y fácil para limpiar. Comúnmente el principal reto de un EPP es donde almacenarlo o como limpiarlo. En ciertos permisos de trabajo ya incluyen que EPP debes declarar para que el responsable HSE te dé el visto bueno o te recomiende alguno. In my experience, prioritizing worker safety has not always been a top concern (it has changed with time though). To optimize worker safety during oil production, implementing a comprehensive safety management system is key. This involves regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and the establishment of robust safety protocols. A well-implemented safety management system not only reduces the risk of accidents but also enhances overall operational efficiency. It fosters a safety culture where employees actively engage in identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

From own experience I noticed that there is a clear difference in documenting safety instructions between the office and the coal face, something that often is not accounted for. In the office, especially since the introduction of emails, there is a drive to communicate safety rules in bullet-style short individual instructions and alerts not exceeding 1-2 pages. On the shop floor, away from the office and more occupied by practical work, the preference instead is to have all advice relating to their work together in an extensive, clearly structured and complete handbook. Individually communicated instructions lead to a lack of confidence by the worker that s/he is familiar with all requirements and can cause accidental rule breaking.
