A lot of people think it’s quantity, but quantity tends to hide to obvious. Start small and expand as needed.

Over the years, I have seen information dashboards so overloaded on information that people were unable to understand it and in some cases not able to react on time to prevent damage from happening.

Keep it simple, discover the key parameters and understand their interactions with the business. Start small and expand only when value is gained through the expansion. Anything else is just blinding you from the obvious and sidetracks from what it is necessary.
