In my opinion, what is important at the beginning of the relationship is the reason and purpose of the relationship. I mean that if the goal of long-term communication is to meet the needs of the parties, it will definitely end in a win-win result. At the same time, knowing the characteristics, interests and things that cause offense to the other party should be prepared and examined before establishing a relationship. It means that enough information should be provided from the other side, then the relationship should be established based on the strengths and weaknesses and based on the goal of eliminating the weaknesses. Finally the end, our output should be able to help them achieve their results.

Network across departments by attending cross-functional meetings, collaborating on projects, and sharing insights. Establish relationships with data, IT, and sales teams to understand their needs. Offer your analytics expertise to address common challenges. Seek mentorship from senior professionals and participate in company-wide events. Cultivate a collaborative mindset, emphasizing how marketing analytics can contribute to overall business goals. Active engagement with colleagues from diverse departments enhances your visibility and positions you as a valuable asset within the organization.

Of course, if you have a resume of similar experiences and in reputable companies/organizations, you will provide a lot of what you need to say, otherwise it is necessary to use what you are good at them and it can be fruitful in solving your customer's needs, present it in a proper way.

I suggest that you prepare a detailed plan with a specific schedule and goals in coordination with your client. One of the principles of all relationships and communication is honesty and mutual trust, which is definitely acquired over time or prior acquaintance with people and will have a great impact on the continuation .Don't commit to what you can't do or what you don't have enough strength to do. Be completely honest with your employer and client and do not lie under any circumstances as it will shorten the life of the relationship.
