We as IT professionals need to ensure business continuity and monitoring of software health and software availability helps us to be a contributor towards ensuring business continuity. Software health monitoring and monitoring the availability helps us to identify issues at early stage thus we can take steps to resolve them before things come to a halt. In a manner we can be proactive in solving issues. If we have outsourced the maintenance activity then by monitoring we come to know of issues and we can request the maintenance vendors to do the needful as per the SLAs. Also monitoring is sometimes also a requirement due to compliance and regulation issues.

Für Servermetriken gibt es andere Tools, diese messen u.A. die Auslastung von Netzwerktraffic, Prozessauslastung oder die physischen Parameter des Servers. (Ein zugeh?riges live-Meldewesen ist natürlich unabdingbar) User experience bei Apps kann zusammen mit dem allgemeinen Health-Monitoring mit einem Tool erledigt werden.
