1 Assess your learners' needs

I've encountered real-life cases before—individuals using walking aids due to cerebral palsy from birth or being wheelchair-bound due to polio—cases I had no prior knowledge of. This meant I had to quickly adapt my training activities to ensure their inclusion. For those facing mobility difficulties, rather than having everyone move randomly, we arranged activities near those individuals. This simple adjustment meant that every participant had the opportunity to engage in the workshop tasks while forming a supportive circle around those who needed additional assistance.

Environment and sensory requirements play a huge part in training. Your voice pitch and cadence. The lighting. Potential sounds that may impact the trainees being able to focus. Distraction that may not be discernible to others.
