It is important to continuously sharpen your skills in a way that suited you; be it kata, projects, udemy courses, open source, and so on, the main thing is you follow the ABC's of being a programmer: Always Be Coding! Especially if you are new and green in the industry, like me, it is a use of lose skill set, and a valuable one you do not want to lose. Also tech is constantly evolving so practicing keeps you abreast of best practice changes and changes in your preferred stack.

This is the perfect scenario under which to embrace a Rapid Prototyping approach. Gather some simple key requirements and features, and implement those. After there's a solid - albeit small - foundation to improve upon, start breaking things. I’ve experimented, collaborated, taught and been taught. Whatever your learning goal, simply begin. Somewhere. Anywhere. And follow the rabbit hole wherever it leads.
