How can you manage team members with differing interpretations of technical analysis results?

First things first, our team needs to answer the basic question: Are we speculators using technical analysis to generate alpha or are we commercial hedgers using technical analysis to reduce risk in our cash positions? Our answer will help us determine which types of technical tools are appropriate as well as which timeframes for our analysis.
