In this SLA you may specify response times, issue resolution, and communication protocols to maintain accountability. Vendor coordination also must be established to have them aware of each other's changes and that there is a clear understanding of how changes from one vendor may impact others.

In my experience, lack of a clear RACI along with an ineffective ‘Integrator’ results in scope creep, retroactive vendor change orders, and blame game in multi-vendor programs. To avoid surprises late in the program: (1) Invest in all-vendor pre-contracting workshops to jointly align program RACI and scope split (and then document in individual SoWs) to foster vendor (and client) ownership. (2) Empower an activist ‘Integrator’ role - client and/or vendor, based on engagement model - to manage and track integrated program scope risks and mitigating actions. The ‘Integrator’ facilitates contractual scope compliance by all teams so that only ‘genuine’ changes are approved (and aid PMO in updating scope/schedule/cost/capacity baselines).
