Ensuring that platforms like LinkedIn mirror your current skills, achievements, and interests is key. This not only highlights your value but also aligns you with the right connections. Beyond a static resume, an updated profile enables active engagement – sharing pertinent content, commenting on industry trends, and participating in relevant groups. It's a dynamic tool for signaling your professional prowess and staying seamlessly connected in today's ever-evolving digital landscape.

One thing that I worked upon the last five years of my naval career was to concurrently educate and groom myself for corporate leadership. So, an MBA in International Business, Diploma in Public Policy, qualifying as an Independent Director from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, ESG certification from Vancouver and authoring books on leadership and ESG - all in a way to overtly display the 'value on offer'.
