Why would you want to explore opportunities outside of QA/Testing when there is so much to contribute to the business from the confines of the testing profession. You can be useful to projects/products by coding as a tester... automation can improve the time to market and remove menial tasks Project management skills can help you coordinate the testing efforts and bring people on the journey with you Stakeholder management can help you sell the value of testing across the business and showcase how important high quality can be I guess my advice is don't see QA as a stepping stone, there is so much we can achieve within the QA arena
