To become a stock checker, you need to possess certain skills and qualifications, such as a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and computer skills, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work independently or in a team, physical strength and stamina to lift, move, or handle inventory items, knowledge of inventory management principles and practices, and familiarity with inventory management software and devices such as barcode scanners, RFID tags, or handheld terminals. Depending on the industry, employer, or level of responsibility, you may need additional qualifications such as a certificate or diploma in inventory management, logistics, or related field; experience in inventory management, warehousing, or retail; customer service or communication skills; problem-solving or analytical skills; and knowledge of safety and quality standards and regulations.
