Recognize and celebrate achievements to maintain motivation and a sense of collective achievement, even in a remote work setting.

This is where Data Stewardship is key ??! One way to involve employees with data governance work and objectives is to appoint Data Stewards, Data Governance Council, and or Data Steering committees. Over time these people will become champions of data governance work because they will be supporting it.

I would start by emphasizing that remote work is no less valuable than doing the same tasks while being present in the office. If possible, arrange face-to-face meetings. For instance, for important meetings with stakeholders that cannot be held online. Even if face-to-face meetings happen infrequently and outside the office, they allow your team members to look each other in the eye and refresh their "connection".

Maintain regular virtual communication, provide ongoing training, and foster a collaborative online platform to ensure remote employees remain engaged in Data Governance initiatives.

This way, the workday is split into a series of short sprints of 25 minutes each.
