The individuality on what constitutes as sustainability is a varied as are the hotelguests. Every hotel is interested what its guests,after a stay, are perceiving. Sustainability related feedback, needs to be properly analyzed. The results of said analysis then have to be correctly and timely communicated to the positions with the most impact on them. Top Management has to be kept in the loop, since those positions are responsible to adjust and amend the hotels strategy.

Our resort opened an Orchard where we plant fruits, spices, herbs and edible flowers. An educational path has been created with signs for guests to understand the health benefit, what it can be used for and what dishes are available in our outlets across the resort. The Thai cooking class starts with our chef at the Orchard, going through the menu and recipes and then picking the herbs, spices and fruits. Additional a social media hot spot at the Orchard with a bamboo swing with views over Patong Bay has added to attract all different types of guests. A great way to create different touchpoint for our farm to table efforts with different guest interests. This year’s Earthhour event will be hosted in the Orchard for a star gazing nights!
