In my Eyes ??,the integration of material handling systems with production systems and advanced management tools like pull systems, Kanban, JIT, ERP, MES, and SCM enhances the flexibility, efficiency, and responsiveness of material handling equipment, enabling organizations to adapt quickly to changing demand, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization.

In my experience the material handling inside shopfloor and secondary logistics need to be automated to get the best output , by low cost automated feeding to point of fit. One such example is the Automated guided vehicles which carries the parts to be fitted in vehicle assembly through a predefined path from storage areas.As you increase your number of AGVs - the centralized monitoring and control becomes the essence of the smart factory or the digital factory . In this "connected shop-floor" environment, one can sit in a room and monitor the movement of these AGVs. By such automation ,HC elimination,safe on time delivery, with leading cost achieved .With use of optical sensors,avoids mechanical gates in path, enables clean visual factory.

In my POV ??,In addition to material handling system integration and advanced management tools, individuals can increase the flexibility of material handling equipment by considering factors such as modular equipment design, multi-functional capabilities, flexible workflows, cross-training employees, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier collaboration, risk management strategies, and adaptive technology adoption.
