I have known people and colleagues that on a daily basis got to work at 7am and were the last to leave as well as having their lunches at their desk. So I kept asking myself, why the time spent at their desk doesnt translate into their productivity. There are other people that work 4 days a week and cover 5 days worth of work. I find that “reminders” on my iPhone is a terrific tool for completing tasks. All you need to do is name the task and set the date & time of the reminder and I’m all set to be successful with completing tasks.

You have to see what you're planning to get done. *I set time limits for appointments. Most of my appointments are scheduled specifically for the quarter or half hour. (I.e., 9:15-9:30)…. It's precise and concise. *I stay away from those who don't respect my time and other people's time. It can be one of your biggest time wasters and distractions. Time is always moving forward, and so should you.

Resting and taking breaks is underrated. You can only do so much when you are running on empty. Take some time to reset so that you can function at maximum capacity.
Gaining great time management skills is very much like gaining muscle. There is rarely natural motivation so you have to realize that discipline towards the daily habit is the only thing that will give noticeable results ????… full disclosure; I’m still working on it ??
I’ve never found that time management is the issue. Ive often found you either need to do more, do better or advocate for yourself. If none of these are working and you believe you deserve a promotion, then you need to go to the open market and see if you are right. The marketplace place will tell you very quickly if you deserve or don’t deserve that next position.
And while you are building those new muscles, you might be tempted to go overboard with time management software, but take that slowly as well… overwhelming yourself with technology won’t help… take it slow and keep it simple!
