I disagree a little. Here's why: conflict isn't inherently bad. Especially in creative pursuits, competing ideas have to... well, compete. This will cause some friction. Don't shy away from conflict. Rather, institute a culture and a system that has streamlined resolution steps. I always use this frame, "There are no bad ideas, and the best idea might not win. But I want to hear everything. Don't leave anything unsaid. I will always explain decisions, give credit, and take blame." This typically sets the stage for healthy conflict.
