Be open to "non-speaking" speaking opportunities. I recently made a guest appearance in the Women Who Code Mentorship Slack channel. Over an hour, their Program Coordinator shared 8-10 questions about how to confidently speak up as a woman in tech. I answered them via text messages in the group, typing and using a voice-to-text feature. Mentees were able to ask their questions, respond to my thoughts, and folks who lived in a different time zones were able to engage with the transcript after. It was a rewarding experience!

Create your personal brand online. Share content which adds value to people’s lives . Slowly but steadily your vibe will attract your tribe . Engage with people from the industry . Don’t compete but rather collaborate & you will be amazed at the results . I speak with experience.

I created an online platform for my voice to be heard. Then I designed it in such a unique way across many social websites, and made all pertinent and interrelated. Everyone can do the same by writing books, journals, articles, uploading videos etc that are bold, eloquent, empirical and consistent across all your platforms- on your motivational speaking. Last but not the least, create a venture that's connected to your motivational speaking to badge your professionalism.

Then, actively participate on social media and share your insights. Look for online gatherings, like webinars and virtual events, related to your field. Don't forget to check out platforms like TEDx, podcasts, and YouTube channels for wider exposure. The internet offers plenty of chances to find new speaking gigs.

When first getting started, I suggest reaching out to smaller podcast shows. You will become a better guest each time you join a podcast, so save the higher-ranking shows for later.

Referrals are a tremendous way for others to engage in public engagement. It goes both ways, refer someone, and maybe someone will refer you!

Networking, networking, and more networking. When you authentically connect with others at events, it can lead to great opportunities. I have always found that the best things come out of relationships, especially if you are a true go-giver.

Training is one of the most effective ways of motivating people especially younger generation. As a music executive, I've had several opportunities to speak to series of young guys who aspire to become a musician and or record producers.
