I first would notice I miss information or knowledge related to my job / Check the market / Check with collegues and friends concerning their experiences with courses in that field where I feel I miss knowledge / also check with our educational department / ask permission after motivating why, wether I will be aloud to follow the course that I think would be necessary for me to follow and if not OK because of costs, have some other alternatives with me, but also show clearly why I prefer the other one.
