Your website stated that [insert thing] but I'm still not fully understanding [insert thing]. Could you provide more detail? / When is a good time I can give you a call to have a better understanding of [insert thing]? This would blow anyone away, shows your interest beyond the interview and that you're actively interested in the company. You can re-iterate your thanks towards the end of your email.

A "Thank you" note should be just for that, a "thank you". The interview was you selling yourself to be a fit. When I get a thank you letter, or see one where they re-hatch all the reasons we just went over for an hour, just seems like overkill. 1. Thank them for their time 2. Instead of providing date availability, instead provide your phone number and times when you're typically free to take a call. Sometimes they won't move forward for awhile, provide a way to be reached and when. Provide your LinkedIn profile (if you haven't already) and where you currently stand if your interviewing endeavors.

I have been advocating letter/than you notes since doing it myself back in 1985! Here is a simple framework: - Thank you is also a good start point and few words on how you enjoyed the interview (how you were treated and the way the interview was run). - Then reiterate why you are interested on the job (focus on what was facts that were discussed in the interview, match what they are looking for to what you have to offer - (WIIFT principle).
