Wrap your offering in the bow of a solution to help your client achieve that state in their life. If you focus too much on the specific service, you end up diluting your message and daily to stand out from the crowd.

Thought leadership is HUGE for coaches and consultants. It helps build trust with your audience. (Stay away from AI-generated content if you want to build trust.) Thought leadership is most effective when you actually say SOMETHING. Don't be afraid to stand out. There is a lot of 'noise' in the thought leadership world right now where people posts all sound the same. What is your interesting take on things? Share it. Don't be afraid to lose followers. They weren't going to be your clients anyways.

You don't need a: 1. Website. 2. Blog. 3. Portfolio. 4. Testimonials. 5. Huge following. All you need is: 1. One offer. 2. One avatar. 3. One platform. If you're on LinkedIn reading this, you have everything you need. ? Obviously it's not easy, but it CAN be simple.

One way to build your online presence is by sharing positive client feedback online. This can include social media posts, a page on your website, an article that features a client case study, and then you can share this in your podcast too if you have one. Some business owners encourage their clients to make testimonial videos. These can be very influential and offer serious social proof to those who are considering hiring you. Talking about happy clients gives those fence sitting prospects a reason to believe you can help them too and build trust. Testimonials that provide positive outcomes make the work you do more REAL and relatable.

There are SO many places to invest while you are growing your business. Tons of different coaches and strategies to learn. I get it. The most important thing as you grow your business is to have the support you need. Expanding your business requires a lot. It requires a strategic plan that is conducive to growth (and not getting burned out). It requires an increase in your capacity to hold success and money and exposure. It is essential to regulate your nervous system to the success and bigness that comes with expansion. Investing in programs, coaches, mentors, or masterminds that offer that type of support is essential. (BONUS: if you find a space that combines the business strategy PLUS the deep mindset + nervous system regulation work)

Depends on the stage of growth. Consulting is one of the rare businesses you can begin as a "side business". If you don't rely on it for income, you can begin in your off-work hours and have ample time to test things out. This lets you create a business that works before replacing your full time work with self employment. If you already have a consulting business in personal development and are looking to grow income or clientele, I suggest trying to add one new program at a time and setting a minimum profit and satisfaction goal. If it doesn't make money or it doesn't make you happy, you can let it go and try the next thing. If it IS profitable and satisfying, you can keep doing the same thing. Great programs often increase organically.
