I feel that our core values to be sync with the role we are performing. The R&D career requires few core values like discipline, keep trying, patience etc.

Celebrating your team is so underrated, as a consultant, I saw many companies and there are clear differences between a company that celebrates their people vrs companies that are there just to achieve numbers in a dashboard. Take the time to look into the details, birthdays, big milestones, process improvements, celebrate and be vocal bout the value of that effort for the team and company. This helps keep a high moral of the team even in times when the scientific results are not the best, which is common in R&D groups.
