Having a clear mission and vision is extremely important to do a goal setting! Also when you hire a coach remember, the coach is neither a crèche and nor a know it all. Until unless you are clear about what you want to achieve no coach can assist you to do that!

I often advise my clients to evaluate their coach on 3 basic parameters Energy, Certification, and Structure. A lot of individuals use the term coach without being certified as one, they may have experience making them a good consultant. A coach is not a business problem solver - that's a consultant. Your business coach must be focused on the founder's peak performance and mindset. The rest the founder is often perfectly capable of solving.
