In my recent Payment jobs, I found that mobile was the fastest growing channel, for person to person money transfers, bill payments and mobile phone top up. Mobile phone adoption has been huge even in low income countries and the senders and receivers both have mobile phones. This channel also fits in well with the always on, any time, any place, lifestyle we now follow.

As mobile is turning up to be the first preference for payment be it Apple Pay, google pay or QR payments, it is pretty clear that there is no looking back. Best part about mobile payment is that forgetting wallet at home is not an excuse any more. But to make it sustainable companies need to make sure experience is kept as smooth as it is now plus special focus is done on security. Payments should be frictionless as well make sure customer payment data or any other data is well encrypted before getting shared for the transaction to complete.

If you educate the Senior Citizens with SMS and Push notifications, it's difficult to increase their confidence level. You should form you strategy based on Age, Profession, basically based on target audience.
