Personal development has to be owned by the person himself/herself. One thing which I have found useful is that as a coach, I can help unleash the potential that already exists within the individual, so my value proposition is that I will help in bridging the gap between potential and performance

In the past, I have been guilty of being competent at too many things. As I've developed in my career and life, I've learned that having niches and specialties sets me apart from all the rest in my field. It also allows me to be a SME on valuable aspects of my organization. I thrive when I am needed to teach what I know, and my Administration sees my value. Being good at too many things waters down your value and slows down your ability to showcase your skills to the organization.

Rapport is built if you relate to the person rather than the situations that the person he is dealing with. It is a question of going deeper rather than discussing things at a superficial level. But all this can happen only if there is a trusted relationship which is built sometimes immediately, and sometimes over a period of time

Building rapport with clients is crucial for establishing strong and lasting professional relationships. It creates trust, fosters effective communication, and enhances collaboration. Being a good listener. Showcase genuineness, paying attention to non verbal cues. Paraphrase and acknowledge. Use empathy in your interactions with your clients. Foster an environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves. Be transparent about your processes, timelines, and expectations. Encourage clients to share their thoughts and feedback openly. Meet deadlines consistently, communicating proactively and keep up to your promises. This shows commitment. Be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate for solutions.

Goal setting is important because it sets the direction for the actions that we need to take. We also need to recalibarate every time that we feel our actions are not taking towards our goals. So goals are basically helping us move in the right direction

Keeping yourself current is necessary AND doing so with discernment is the most important part. Not everyone learns the same way, and we no longer have to subscribe solely to traditional or academic methods of learning. The process should be enjoyable and meaningful to you. By embracing a multifaceted approach to upskilling—whether through podcasts, art, books, conversations, consulting, or workshops—you can cultivate a more holistic, grounded, and enriching learning experience.
