Fetch all the MSDS Material Safety Data Sheets of all the cleaning products used. Start at section 2. Hazards Identification. If any hazards are above 0, zero, it is not good for your health and probably the planet. Look at section 3. Highest concentration ingredients. Rule of thumb, if it sounds like you should not drink it, eg Alcohols, C10-16, ethoxylated propoxylated, it is likely not good for the planet Look at section 6. Accidental release, if under clean-up methods, you are told to use a chemical waste container, its a red flag. 9. Physical and chemical properties. Check if there are VOC's , Volatile Organic Compounds, these are not healthy and indicate a synthetic scent has been added to the liquid.

Establish what is needed per area. ie cleaning vs disinfecting. Understand that proper cleaning = 1. remove soil - best through vacuuming, not sweeping = making dirt airborne. 2 Apply detergent / surfactant. usually with a mop or spray bottle 3. Remove detergent / surfactant through REPEATED rinsing with CLEAN water. best 2-4 time. Disinfecting is a higher level of treatment and must FOLLOW cleaning. Very few products can really CLEAN AND DISINFECT at the same time. Disinfecting MUST follow CT times as indicated by product manufacturer. Usually 5-10 minutes. Product must remain on to be disinfected surface in a WET state. After application and CT time, it needs to be removed and rinsed with water.
