1 Check the backup file size

2 Use the validation tool

Ensuring the consistency and integrity of your backup files can be done by using the built-in validation tool in Acronis True Image. This tool scans the backup file and compares it with a checksum, which is a unique code that represents the backup data. If the checksum matches, it means that the backup file is intact and has no errors. However, if the checksum does not match, then the backup file is likely corrupted or altered and may not be reliable for restoration. To use the validation tool, open Acronis True Image and go to the Backup tab. Select the backup file you want to validate and click on the More actions button (three dots). 3 Repair the backup file

If you find out that your backup file is inconsistent or corrupted, Acronis True Image has a repair tool that can attempt to fix the errors or gaps and make it usable for restoration.
