How can you encourage customers to participate in an interview?

In practice, I've noticed offering a few small incentives works better than one main item. People are more likely to buy into an incentive if they think they have a greater chance of winning.

Simply asking is often the easiest way. Explaining what the benefit and outcome to your customer could be is a great way to show them it is all about them. For example, the ability to showcase their business through the interview, where they are the hero. You provided the solutions but it is them that achieved the amazing result! So make it all about them, not you. And bonus, offer to share the result with them so they can use in their marketing. For example, a video interview including what the outcome has been for them so they can wax lyrical about what they have achieved and promote their business. A win/win situation by understanding your customer is at the core of your business which is the approach my business. I hope this helps.

Often, if its something the audience is passionate about, the involvement can be quite easy. Take for example an independent toy retailer. We formed a "mom squad" and their job was to have their kids play with and select the next year's top toys. We also included quotes from them in our materials. Throughout the year we offered them small incentives, but honestly, we often just had to ask and we received a ton of involvement. Also, incentives have to be legal and operate under any platforms rules for sweepstakes, etc.

It gets harder to get weekend work. So we do offer incentives to people to work the weekend both days. We get to know our customer on a one on one basis so they can trust our services. Don't think about price think about quality and the best care they can receive.

a relationship, directly or through an associate is a real key to have an effective interview/ Q & A. The built-in trust is essential to gather the best feedback. Additionally, I always have various surveys, market pulse material to share with a business owner--either lets them know they are not alone in their thoughts/situation, or it can maker them feel better about their own current situation. By providing "market" context they can some knowledge and are more likely to provide specific responses.

This is my preferred way to achieve input. You should always explain the "why" behind a request; I find that once you do, most folks enjoy giving their input!

I have had no issues with wanting people to be interviewed on my shows. I explain to them that their stories matter and that by sharing their story, they can make a difference in others' lives. It also helps that our shows are on Roku as well, with the potential to be in front of 65 million households. But usually, people like to share their experiences to help others.

I think making it easy and convenient is the most important thing. Respect your customer's time. You only need to ask one question to get your "net promoter score", which is the single measurement (irrespective of industry) of your company's growth potential: "On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to recommend us to a friend or colleague? You can add an optional why or why not.

I send a very simple email offer to clients to participate in video interviews. The email explains “why” the interview and “what” questions I will ask them and “when” the interview will be scheduled. It has to be very easy and convenient to participate. Complicated and time consuming process should be avoided. Sharing what to expect will also help.

A practical way companies I have led and worked for gathered reviews and intel was through leveraging communication by our customer-facing team. Did someone send a glowing review of the service rendered in an email? Ask to share it on our website or at least use that in employee review/recognition. With out an extra step, the feed back can be given with the right questions. Without this, a jaunting experience to claim incentives for getting feedback is included and often discourages clients from giving their time. Where ever possible, do not create extra steps to needed information.

Authenticity is said to be the highest vibration, and as such is powerful in building trust and rapport. The trick is, we cannot be authentic with each other until we’re first authentic with ourselves. “Work harder on yourself then you do on your business” and then invite others to collaborate.

This is a great approach with long standing clients and customers but isn’t effective with newer clients as they are still learning about you. Attitudes and perceptions play a big part in this type of approach and could easily backfire if you aren’t able to manage and control the narrative.

Genuine interest in the person and thoughtful questions that can be reviewed in advance by the consumer will help build trust and rapport with them. Encourage them to go deeper in their answers by asking them to “tell me more about that situation” or “help me understand” questions.

Follow through. Did you promise something and not deliver, then you are not going to like the feed back if any. Did you set out a goal, mission, or promise to your consumer, and then make it difficult or tedious to act on those processes? Then you most focus on dedicating effort to making things right. Trust and rapport are not built all in first impressions, master follow-through and you will build loyalty even through the good and bad journeys of your business.

Focus. What is the thing you need to know from this survey to move on? If you get greedy with their time and try to cover too much in too short of a space of time/effort, you will drop the chances of initially willing participants to participate in studies. John C. Maxwell states that good leaders ask great questions. Get good at asking the right questions.

This is where being a small business really makes a difference- we have a personal relationship with the decision makers. Personally I always ask, on a scale of 1-10 would you recommend us and then I choose a small mixed group of our regular clients and ask for their time to take part in our short survey to ensure we are still sticking to our values

One thing is to always put yourself in the consumer's shoes,dont drag questions,get straight to the point in an engaging manner and you will definitely get a more reliable answer that trying to scale.

I read this as a Focus Group with targeted prospects. There are times a focus group should have a full spread of your potential member/customer base, however, there are also times where you want a specific portion of your customer base represented in order to specialize a process/product.

At what point with our help via surveys such as this and other sources, does AI become the substitute value for the experienced successful human………

Consider adding a single question into the flow of your product, like... "do you have 20 mins to talk about your experience in exchange for $$ of X incentive to help improve your business."
