Diversifica tus fuentes de financiamiento Depender de solamente una fuente de financiamiento puede ser muy tentador porque las decisiones y tus acciones podrían depender de una sola organización pero recuerda los recursos son siempre limitados o pueden surgir cambios en tu organización que replanteen las inversiones. Por ello, es que debes diversificar tus fuentes y explorar diferentes opciones, como donaciones, recursos de fondos sociales, alianzas estratégicas con otras organizaciones que compartan tus mismos temas de interés, programas del estado, cooperación internacional. Para lo cual, debes investigar cuales son los objetivos y los procesos que debes seguir para poder materializar el apoyo en tus proyectos con otros recursos.

La mejor manera para generar alianzas que puedan contribuir a la financiación de tus proyectos es tomar en consideración en tu proceso de búsqueda si las organizaciones comparten intereses en común en relación al público objetivo y tus ejes de acción. Una vez teniendo claro que comparten intereses en común debes presentar tu propuesta alineada a los intereses y ejes de acción de las organizaciones que has identificado. Esta propuesta debe ser precisa, convincente y generar conexión. Debes mostrar cómo tus proyectos de sostenibilidad social atienden un problema social específico, cómo crean valor a los grupos de interés en común, que indicadores utilizan para evaluar el éxito de proyectos, que metas concretas tienen y sus plazos.

Adapta tus expectativas a los fondos con los que cuentas Cuando uno realiza un proyecto vinculado a la sostenibilidad social de ponerse metas retadoras pero alcanzables. Finalmente el proyecto debe adecuar sus objetivos y alcances de acuerdo a los recursos económicos con el que cuentas y tener abierta la posibilidad de ampliarlo si es que posteriormente consigues nuevas fuentes de financiamiento.

Es muy importante comunicar de manera eficaz el proceso y resultado que estas alcanzando en tu proyecto, el cumplimiento de metas ya que ello sirve de motivación para continuar con el proyecto y/o ampliar su alcance, pero también para que sirva de ejemplo para que otras organizaciones puedan evaluar su implementación en otros lugares y con lo cual se produce un efecto multiplicador de las buenas prácticas de sostenibilidad social en beneficio de más personas.

For some firms, CSR is an empty slogan with one or two high viz projects. These are projects that never should have been sponsored and that can’t be saved (nor should they) when money is tight. Employees see through these, and management risks losing engagement, or worse, enduring snark attacks while trying to promote or persuade. Firms who see CSR as an asset behave differently, put their best people on CSR projects, create conservative budgets, which will withstand downturns and see these initiatives as benefiting the firm financially as well as socially in the medium to long term.
