How can you effectively promote your products to customers loyal to a competitor brand?

1.The product should solve an existing problem of customers. the first step is to identify that unsolved problems, the customers currently facing. 2.Marketing is very important, the targeted customers should be aware about the products and its features, on order to do this need to utilize all the available platforms & social media. Consistent communication , and constant engagement is the key to build a strong brand identity. 3.Establish an emotional connection with the customer. Out standing customer service will lead to achieve this. 4.Overall there are no short cuts , it will take time to establish the loyal customer base, be patient and consistently invest in creating positive experience for customers.

The key thing is to find if there is a gap in the current experience for the consumer ...is there a point of discontent with the current delivery . If one can identify/ recognise , then that could be a window to sell to a competition consumer and win him over

From a retailer perspective: 1. Will the product fill a need not currently being met or does it improve upon an existing product? 2. Who is the specific customer for the product? Is product price competitive? Is there a value statement that can be applied? 4. What are the ideal item adjacencies for merchandising to get additional items in the basket? 5. You say USP - I say value prop. What is the MAIN REASON someone NEEDS your product? ? Show that reason FIRST. Example: If you are in a space of wire-powered devices and your product is wireless - that is the value prop. Lean into heavily why wires suck, they are no good, dangerous etc.

Highlighting Sustainable values of product, still keeping cost neutral and taking the stories properly to the right person, who is the decision maker. Providing them the right sample, doing a initial research on their product and provide an alternate with a much attaractive product which performs better than what they currently use

It is nowadays difficult to figure out a USP.. better to focus on the incremental benefit that can accrue to the customer by using your brand vis-a-vis the competition brand. Start from there and then try to figure out if there is indeed a possible USP.

Many times as you have used the competitors product or service you have said, "if they only...". In conversations with others, online or in-person, a group has express a desire for that "...". When you create your product or service you are mostly going to include that "...". You know it was a deficit for your competition, you know there was a desire for that "thing" and a community around it. "..." becomes one of your USPs. Your USP speaks to the gaps or outside of the range of your competitor. It may be a special angle or niche within an industry. Own it! It's yours. Make sure it is represented in all your marketing. Make your brand known for it. Give it life. Share the story behind why you do, what you do, the way you do.

Don't do this. Sorry, LinkedIn - but do not race to the bottom on pricing and discounts. Focus on VALUE and why you product is of better value than your competition. Be the Mercedes in a parking lot of Hyundais.

In my opinion, moving forward, we need to be more strategic with discounting. It is important to remember that not all customers are the same. Not all customers want or need the same. Aim to provide discounts to the customers that are 1) your top customers and/or 2) on the verge of acquisition. Make your loyal customers feel special and move the needle with cart abandoners. Giving a discount to everyone isn’t always the answer.

Be consistent day in/day out and get involved with day to day operations, in other words, get into the trenches and involved with all of your employees and departments. Most importantly, take the high road when your customers/clients mention your competition. You started your business because you believed in yourself AND that there was a need for your services. Keep your chin up, it might be a rough patch initially, but if your employees are happy (lots to unpack here too??) you'll be fine in the long run.

Be honest and empathize with them and say that you get it - they love the brand they love. Instead of trying to compete, empower them with the idea that they’ve made the right choice, but create just a sliver of doubt… maybe they could check out their other options to be sure.
