1 Understand the problem

The first step in problem solving is to understand the problem you are facing. This means defining the scope, objectives, requirements, and constraints of the problem. You can use tools such as problem statements, user stories, use cases, and diagrams to document and communicate the problem clearly and accurately.

In my experience, engineers often fall into the trap of focusing on the tools to solve the problem rather than the problem itself. It is beneficial to take a step back to understand the problem space. In my experience, some key questions are: ? What is the business value we are trying to extract? ? Who are our customers and what are their needs? ? What are some of the edge cases in this process? This usually is never a once off process - The problem may evolve over time especially in a start up environment therefore it is important to continuously ask these questions.

Understanding the problem is main concern in cloud computing. Every cloud Engineer should first understand the problem. When you deep dive in problem, you might find easiest way to solution. Many times we only generalize the problem which tends to lengthy process. There are multiple ways to solve problems but finding the best solution is best quality of Cloud specialist. That's why one should first understand problem and find the proper best solution that fits the situation.

You can use tools such as spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and dashboards to organize and visualize the data and findings.
