Including managers in reward committee or manpower planning committee would be insightful. In addition they will take ownership of the new system. Their support is required and crucial for successful reward system implementation.

Designing of rewards requires utmost attention to the internal elements of the organisation. While we collate,relate and have benchmarked the best practices but what fits to my organization people is the evaluation one should first consider. Credibility, Reliability and Feasibility. Secondly there is no one size fit . We need to personalize ,having said some of the benefits, rewards are common , statutory and organization policy. However we need to be innovative to create a pick up choice for the relevant age, gender, etc. A great initiative must be taken to blend diversity and inclusion as a top agenda. In my view no reward, award, benefit cannot be a grant instead it's to be earned ??.

This is not only about how we pay, but what is the EVP prepared for employees based on the business strategy of the organisation. It requires full support of the management, walk the talk and talk the walk. Not mentioning huge amount of work to create and bullet proof it.
