Firstly check what are the Benefits currently provided to employees from every aspects like Financial, Non-Financial, Direct, In-direct, Long term, short time, health and wellness, professional growth assistance, and others. Interview is an effective method to check the practices across competition. Some organizations conducts surveys or follow a published survey data. This also helps to assess the situation vs market offering.

Taking the question as given - to stand out doesn't mean it is the best or even appropriate, it is to be noticed. It gets noticed if: - it has features rarely included and also meaningful to the employees (which could be fertility/adoption/surrogacy features, or very high hearing aid coverage, high prescription safety glasses etc) - include features that are very noticeable (Personal Spending Account), high performance bonuses to RSP & TFSA accounts, or non-Benefit features (qualify for trips, bonus days off).
