Not only shared, but expected at the beginning. Everyone is entitled to return home the same way they entered into work. Ensure before any work that everyone is aware of safety briefings, lists known dangers, and anyone is able to report any safety concern(s), risk(s), and or danger(s).

Everyone on any job site is required to be participate. It also needs to be a top-down approach where the highest levels force it and make it a requirement. Similarly, there should be no reprimanding at any times. At the end of the work day conclude any lessons learned or close calls. Same thing with a reminder of said lessons at the beginning of the next days morning safety briefing before any work begins. It requires continuous monitoring and everyone at the table for it to work.

Management commitment If there is no clear commitment from management that it is OK to spend time and resources on establishing a sound safety culture, then nothing will happen. Management need to show by example that this is the way to go Leadership Team leaders and first line supervisors need to know how to steer behaviour, the importance of exemplary behaviour and show inspirational leadership
