Diversity means not only hiring people from different backgrounds, identities, and perspectives, but also hiring people with different skills, experiences, and mindsets. From my experiences, this can make one of the largest impacts. By empowering everyone in the group with the same sense of belonging to the team and their opinions, from the front line worker up to senior managers, this will bring more feedback without a feeling of doubt or hesitation. By the group having a positive reaction to all of the opinions, this will keep the communication flowing freely.
