How can you craft a memorable presentation or webinar message?

Typically when I present, I'm presenting to a group of my peers. I stay professional, but I speak like we know each other, because we do. At some point it turns into a conversation instead of a presentation.

Know your topic and know it well. Research your topic, including gathering little known details. Those small details can really set you apart. Researching your topic well will show in your confidence when answering any questions you may receive. Engage your audience with your presentation. Ask questions. Tell a joke or two. Add some spice to your presentation to help it stand out above others.

I’ve always found that if you find ways to capture your audience attention and once again that’s from doing your due diligence on your audience but at the same time getting everyone to relate is your main challenge! Keep focused because it’s easy to get off track and refrain from using “Umm” fifteen million times! I have experienced it were all the people will get from your message is”Umm”, and when they talk to someone about the lecture all they can come up with is “umm”! Also have the excitement in your voice, because if your not excited about your presentation do you really think your audience will be? Think about it!

When putting together a presentation or webinar that people will remember, kick things off with an attention-grabbing start, keep your content organized and spiced up with cool visuals. Share relatable stories, toss in some everyday comparisons, and get your audience involved with questions. And don't forget to wrap it up with a strong ending that drives home the main points. That way, your message will stick with folks long after the presentation's over.

Structure is important. Have a time-line. You don't want to spend so much time on one portion that you lose track of the actual purpose of your presentation.

Story telling is a long time tradition. You want to build up to a point, use description words, and keep the audience's attention. Use body language. If you were speaking about the size of a bear, stand tall, put your arms in the air, make yourself big! You want the audience to feel as if they were there.

One thing I have found helpful during presentations is engaging with your audience. There is nothing more life draining than talking to a group of people and having no feedback from the audience. Its exciting and intriguing for the audience if you interact with them during your presentation. Ask them questions; similar to a quiz set up. Personalise it and ask for their personal experiences, people love to talk about themselves. Play a quick game with the audience, based on the topic of the presentation of course. Get their perspectives on the topic while you are presenting. Anything to keep the audience engaged will be key

All the contributors have pretty much mentioned what makes a good presentation. In addition to what has been pointed out, I would say it is important to understand the objective of communication, which is basically getting the message to the audience in a way that it was intended to get to them. Continously engage your audience in a presentation to make sure they understand your communication in the way you the presenter expects them to understand. Also use the right tools to illustrate what you are trying to communicate. This can be a little drama act of an Office scenario and how issues can be resolved.
