3 Configure Zabbix parameters

Zabbix has many parameters that can be configured to adjust its behavior and performance, which can be found in the configuration files of the Zabbix server, agent, proxy, and web interface. StartPollers, StartTrappers, StartPingers, StartDiscoverers, and StartHTTPPollers are important parameters that control the number of processes used to collect data from different sources and methods. If you have a large number of monitored items or frequent data collection intervals, then you should increase these values. Additionally, CacheSize, HistoryCacheSize, TrendCacheSize, and ValueCacheSize control the size of memory buffers that store configuration data, historical data, trend data, and trigger values; if you have a lot of configuration data or long retention periods for historical and trend data then these values should be increased. Finally, Timeout is a parameter that governs the maximum time Zabbix waits for a response from a monitored device or service; if you have a lot of unreachable or slow devices or services then this value should be decreased.
