The largest way I was able to expand my skills as a technician was through sheer experimentation with electronics that were outside my typical field of expertise. I continually purchased items at thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, etc. that all had failures. I then tore them down, studied them, discovered the cause and then experimented with repairs based on my current skillset. If there were tools or skills needed to repair these new failures I would study through online research or see where I could obtain the proper tools/ equipment to make repairs. You have to not be afraid to experiment and go outside your comfort zone. Otherwise you can never advance. Part of learning is failure. If you're afraid to fail you cannot learn.

The youtube channel is for aspects of troubleshooting and repair of many vintage electronics.
