How can you build a professional network as an extrovert?

Building a professional network as extrovert involves actively engaging in various opportunities. Attend industry events and local meetups, utilize social media like LinkedIn, and volunteer for projects. Connect at company functions, approach others with a friendly demeanor, and offer assistance to build trust. Stay in touch through regular follow-ups, attend informal gatherings, and develop a clear personal brand. Be mindful of first impressions, join online forums, and seek mentorship. Building a strong professional network takes time and effort, so stay committed to nurturing your connections.

As an extrovert person it’s not an easy thing to build professional networks because sometimes the opposite person he/she might not be at same thought of mind as yours until you meet them in in-person, I would mention one thing that building professional network is considered to be the luckiest as it can be helpful at any point of time. Eg:-If you’re lacking knowledge in any particular domain and also you are associated with community of like minded people then by speaking in your circle even the person is stranger to you will be ready to help you out in any sorts of way. You don't necessary have to meet up in conferences to connect either. You can message them on LinkedIn and get started there.

Nothing is more frustrating than meeting someone who is not authentic. In today's world of social media, it is easy to create real-life filters too when networking. But if you allow yourself to be open and receptive, speak your truth and hold true to your values, you will get a lot more out of networking and be able to connect at a more meaningful level.

Then find them on LinkedIn and add them, but with a clear reason as to why you are connecting. It helps (both them and you) to set a clear intention on why building this relationship is important.
