Trust is key. I have spent 7 years in the industry as a recruiter and sometimes as a candidate too. I like to take my experiences (both good and bad) when I interview with organisations and convert them to learnings for myself when I work as a recruiter. Eg: Once a company rescheduled my interview 5 times (every time I turned up for the interview online, nobody joined and then it was rescheduled). I did feel my interest drop drastically for that organisation and I felt the recruiter was not advocating for a confirmation, before sending the schedule to me. Therefore, I ensure that such a scenario never happens with a candidate I am managing. I make sure each interview is confirmed and blocked, or else, the candidate is informed in advance.
