Recently I have seen some pushback against this idea, so I wanted to share why I wholeheartedly believe in it. I saw it at the EYP 2019 IS, where young people from 20+ countries came together to tackle complex political issues. We had a wide variety of nationalities, backgrounds, educations and political stances. However, because we all came together, united by a common purpose, we were able to leverage this diversity to come up with inventive solutions and consider stakeholders that otherwise may have been forgotten.
