Profesional photos are a must! Not only having great looking images from all angles and in the details but they have to be well labeled to improve the SEO and crawlers of your site. The photos are the only interaction your customers are going to have before they buy your products. It’s going to make or break your e-commerce.

Something to consider is using CGI to generate, photos, videos, 360's and augmented reality 3D models. It's very cost effective, fast and extremely flexible. It's especially effective for products that have a lot of different material options. CGI is also great for replacing on location photo shoots to show your products in different locations, like living rooms, kitchens or in offices and retail stores. The only limit is your imagination.

Definitely 'show' the product or service in action. We all fall foul of descriptions of prod/serv as nouns, so in turn, we talk about the 'it' and 'us' rather than show what they do. Do not upload the largest possible version of the image, if you don't know what size you need get a screenshot tool and measure it. And finally yes, describe your photo so that people who use a screen reader (and google) can know what you've posted and why they should care it's on the screen, especially if it's important part of the post/page.

Make your photos about your client and what it can do for them, not about you and your product. Also keep in mind, that a good photo needs average copy but a bad photo definitely needs exceptional copy.

Humanise your photos. Let’s not airbrush every model, you don’t need perfection and it’s a far cry from reality that paints a disingenuous picture of the brand.
