This will help you understand how to use the knowledge you’ve gained. 2) Why you need to use a specific continuous improvement method for a particular use-case over another or just why does this need improvement and continuous monitoring. This self analysis will equip you with - why you’re doing what you’re doing.

Identify which can be directly measured and which need to be derived. 2) KPI Hierarchy: Establish a hierarchy of KPIs. Specify which parameters to monitor, their measurement frequency, responsible for monitoring and representation format. Find the people who sponsor or promote these "projects" who are in transient leadership positions (i.e. looking only for promotions) and you'll find people who want things to improve under their authority, so that they don't have to improve themselves. Those are the dangerous ones, because they never have to live within the system that they "improved.". These are predominantly found in "soft" or "administrative" functions with limited objective measures.
