From my experience we can follow the below approach 1 Gather insights into specific, need, challenge of the target customer through feedbacks, surveys or focus group. Then define the Problem statement based on insights gather. 2 Help Program team understand customer perspectives and experience and facilitating collaboration and communication among program teams to ensure goal alignment 3 Applying design thinking to emphasize with customer by defining problem, potential solution, prototype and testing for customer centric approach 4 Developing MVP and gather feedback from customers to validate assumption and refinement 5 Define key metrices to measure the impact of solution to solve customer problem and driving positive outcome

To ensure program teams are in tune with customer needs through collaborative problem-solving, initiate by actively engaging with customers to capture their feedback and understand their issues.
