One thing I like to add which hasn't been covered much is Identity and Access Management (IAM) and the need to do it well (For yours and your team's sanity!) Using the cloud has allowed us to simplify or even automate many of these security concerns, but one issue that we should always note is the permissions exposed to our users (both inside and outside of your organisation). Practice the "principle of least privilege", as strict as possible to prevent any policy lapses. Use predefined IAM roles or create custom roles so that you don't need to micromanage every individual's permissions. It's important to do permissions well. If not, no matter how much the cloud empowers and enables us, security holes would be unavoidable.
