In my experience, in every chemical laboratory, and especially in R&D laboratory, there are a lot of chemicals. The first thing is to combine the same chemicals in one bottle, package etc.The second is to check "old" chemicals and maybe to send them for disposal. Try to use ready to use solutions, reagents from known companies and minimise the stages of preparation of standard solutions (for titration for example).
