Another thing that genuinely surprised me is the universal applicability of OOP in both software and hardware.OOP concepts like inheritance and polymorphism are also applicable for Hardware Description Languages (HDL) and frameworks like System Verilog or UVM as it is for Software languages like C++,Java,C# etc although a few concepts like multiple inheritance might not work in HDLs.

Reuse: Subclasses like "Barbarian" inherit from "Character," sharing common code and adding specifics (attack range). Maintain: If the attack logic changes, I update the "attack" method in "Character," affecting all troops uniformly. Scale: Adding a new "Wall Breaker" simply means a new subclass with a unique attack method. The core troop system remains untouched. OOP keeps my code clean, reusable, and adaptable, just like a well-managed CoC village!

Reduce OOP-principles like inheritence, encapsulation,... as much as possible or avoid them completely. They don't work and overpromise while making the code base more complex. Especially if you are a non-computer scientist in a domain specific project e.g. an engineer developing new Simulation models or in a data science project. Maintainable code following the KISS principle does not need OOP!
