Las interrupciones y retrasos en la cadena de suministro son un grave problema tanto para el comercial como para el destinatario. Un claro ejemplo es el aumento de costes. Actualmente tenemos una gran multitud de herramientas que nos ayudan a solventar estos problemas, por ejemplo: Google Maps nos ofrece actualmente las rutas más rápidas, donde hay atascos, etc. Otro ejemplo lo tenemos con los programas de #SIG que nos permiten establecer las mejores rutas en función de diferentes parámetros. Actualmente muchas empresas optan por llevar a cabo su reparto en las horas valle, ya que es cuando hay menos conductores y esto optimiza la cadena de suministro.

Toda acción humana tiene un efecto sobre el medio, este impacto puede ser positivo o negativo. Generalmente estos impactos son negativos ya que el transporte implica emitir a la atmósfera una serie de contaminantes, aunque si me pusiera a enumerar los impactos negativos, no terminaría. Pero también hay impactos positivos puesto que para llevar a cabo esta actividad necesitamos de un grupo humano, por lo que debemos contratar a personas.

Una de las innovaciones en la cadena de suministro que más valoran las personas es la logística inversa. Esta es muy simple puesto que consiste en que la propia empresa retire de nuestras casas ciertos elementos. Imaginemos que nos llevan a casa una lavadora, pues el cliente valora positivamente que la empresa se lleve al lavadora antigua para un buen tratamiento, así como que retiren todos los residuos que se generan (plásticos, cartón, etc).

?Qué pasaría si no pudieran servirse productos de primera necesidad en tiempo y forma? El aumento de costes por la adaptación o la contracción de ofertas logísticas y de fabricación, etcétera.
