1 Self-determination theory

Students are are more likely to use problem-solving skills, seek assistance when needed, and persistently practice until they succeed and so the theory plays a very great role. Also , it brings out confidence in their ability to make progress and ultimately achieve their objectives through sustained effort and perseverance.

3 Flow theory

Flow theory is a psychological theory that explains how people experience optimal states of engagement and enjoyment in their activities. It refers to the state of being fully immersed and absorbed in an activity that is challenging, but not too difficult, and that matches one's skills and interests. When students experience flow, they are more likely to be motivated, focused, creative, and satisfied with their learning. To apply flow theory to environmental education, educators can design learning activities that are challenging but not too difficult, provide clear and immediate feedback and guidance to help students adjust their performance and maintain flow, reduce distractions and interruptions that might disrupt flow, and encourage students to reflect on their flow experiences and identify what factors contribute to or hinder it.
